The HIPAA Privacy Manual
For
Health Care Providers

The TxHIMA Board's goal in publishing this manual is to provide the membership with a practical guide to assist healthcare providers with the implementation of the HIPAA Privacy Rules. In addition, this manual will offer practical guidance on the resources needed for monitoring and long term compliance.

Various sample forms and policies and procedures have been embedded into this manual to offer a template for the users.

It is also our goal to ensure the manual is updated annually and available to the health care providers so that the most up-to-date information and guidance are available.
